With over 30 years of real estate industry experience across all product types, and both debt and equity strategies, Maria Stamolis joined Lincoln in 2023 as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Investment Management.

She spent the last 16 years at Canyon Partners, where she was the Co-Head of Real Estate and Head of Asset Management, contributing significantly to the growth of the company’s real estate investment platform. During her tenure, Maria contributed significantly to the raising of nearly $6B of capital and oversaw the asset management of over $25B in loans and equity investments covering everything from complicated construction lending and workouts through preferred, common and co-GP equity investments.

As Lincoln’s CIO, Maria leverages her strong track record of success in launching and managing both debt and equity platforms and portfolios to lead the growth of the firm’s investment management business. She is focused on strengthening and expanding Lincoln’s relationships with institutional investors, and growing the property portfolio across key markets and sectors—including necessity-based retail, industrial, medical office and multi-family/mixed-use, among others.

Over her career, Maria held roles at MBL Life Assurance Company, GE Capital, Oakwood and Karney Management. She graduated from Fordham University with a BA in Economics, and earned her MBA in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business.

Maria serves on the Board of Directors for Minto, as well as on their Compensation Committee.  In 2023, she was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Dallas for a three-year term.  She is also actively involved with the Cox School of Business at SMU, serving as a Folsom Institute Advisory Board Member, an adjunct professor for the SMU Real Estate Impact Fund Practicum, and as a voting Investment Committee Member of the SMU Real Estate Impact Fund.
